We've already mentioned the arrival of a new narrative arc in the Krosmoz. Now it's time to tell you more about it!

Big fans of the Krosmoz universe, who support – and put up with ;) – us day after day, already know that every year, the team wants to develop a theme that echoes throughout our games, animated series, and graphic novels.

Last year, we were talking about the reunification of the Dofus; in 2013 (already) we celebrated the arrival of Sidekicks and Multimen; in 2010-2011, the Rogues and Masqueraiders made it into our MMOs and graphic novels, and Remington even gave himself permission to tease Evangelyne in a few episodes of the series Wakfu…

Every year, we try to create a guiding narrative thread. We see each new theme as a new stone in the edifice of this epic odyssey that you are a part of.

We must admit that, while some themes were clear successes, others were more complicated to put in place – largely due to the deadlines we set for ourselves, the updates (especially the year-end updates) that can sometimes leave us running on empty and dry up our creative juices for a few months, etc.

The reason we're checking in with you today in particular is to explain that we're going to change, exceptionally, our way of doing things. We announced that we want to evolve how we communicate with you by listening to you more. For that to work properly, we need to ease up some of the pressure on the themes.

We want to take the time to talk with you and give our stories time to grow naturally.

Our new theme will echo throughout all our projects. Our goal is to plunge you into an adventure that is even more epic than any we've told up to now. And for this epic adventure to take on all the magnitude and meaning it deserves, we're going to let it develop over several years.

ELIOCALYPSE is the title of the theme that will develop over three years in all our games and Krosmoz-related media. We'll let you speculate at your leisure about what that could imply.

It will unfold over three chapters (one per year). This year therefore, you'll encounter the first chapter: "Resonances".

We're eager to share this new adventure with you as it starts to unfold gradually with the next update in DOFUS and mid-year in WAKFU!

There are five of them – handsome, dashing, and ready for adventure! Who are they? The heroes of Wakfu the series? No! They're the Hero Packs inspired by those protagonists. And they're out in full force for the MMORPG's 7th birthday.

To celebrate WAKFU the game's seventh year, our packs took their inspiration from the Brotherhood of the Tofu, making sure to hold on to their best qualities and avoid their flaws. Not dumb, nor greedy, nor arrogant, nor spoiled, the Hero Packs are simply magnificent!

Do you want Yugo's verve and youth? Ruel's experience and shovel skills? Percedal's courage and recklessness? Evangelyne's feminine precision? Or Amalia's fatal, floral beauty?

From February 21 through February 24 11:59 PM (Paris time), to celebrate WAKFU's birthday, the Hero Packs pay homage to the mythical characters from Wakfu the series!

Ogrest, the Foggernaut, and the Ecaflip

$

"That's all wrong! Ogrest doesn't look right at all! I need a model!" The Foggernaut angrily crumpled her sketch into a ball and tossed it into the already full trash can. You see, at that time and place, she didn't have access to the online Ankama Shop like we do. If she had, she would have found the new Ogrest pack there, available now!

You might wonder how this pack would have helped her if it was available in WAKFU and not just "in real life". It's quite simple. With a tote bag, a stuffed toy, and several posters, all in Ogrest's likeness, she'd have had the model she needed to complete her work successfully…

But let's start at the beginning…

The Foggernaut

A cutting-edge engineer, Mari Shell's career hadn't been what she'd hoped. Truth be told, her ambition of creating a living being from inanimate matter had caused a scandal when she tried to enter Immaterial University of Bonta, the renowned IUB. Those stupid Huppermages! She felt terrible rage rise inside every time she thought about those so-called scholarly experts, so stubborn and dogmatic. Especially that ageless librarian who looked like Moon and who had spoken to her so condescendingly. He'd mocked her openly. He even cast doubt on her scientific rigor, even though at the time he himself had been defending the (since debunked) theory that the World of Twelve was a disk sitting on the backs of four Striches perched on the back of a giant Gobball swimming through the Krosmoz! The truth of it was that those macho fuddy-duddies didn't want a Foggernaut woman! That's all.

Without funding, Mari was forced to abandon her research; she decided to travel to get over her disappointment. And that's when, during a visit to the Wabbit Islands, a curious animal caught her attention. She learned that it was a wobot and, not really knowing why, she spent hours and days observing it. She made a few sketches, and even a small model of the little two-legged creature.

When she got home, it took a while for the idea to sprout in her mind. She wouldn't design a living creature, but an animated machine. And since her "peers" seemed to think of her as something of a monster, she'd use Ogrest as her model! But for now, she needed to get his appearance just right. She knew where she'd find the necessary documentation, particularly an illustrated edition of Journey to the End of Zinit. When she was finished, all she'd need to do is sell her idea. And she knew exactly who to contact. She'd stayed in touch with an Ecaflip she met at IUB, who had been rejected as well on the pretext that all he thought about was games!

***

The Ecaflip

Mari stopped in front of an imposing facade made of Schnek earth bricks. A kokonut wood plaque near the door engraved with the words "Eca Games" confirmed she was in the right place.

She went down a hallway opening onto several rooms. Ecaflips were bustling about everywhere. Some were on their own hunched over their work, others were in lively groups. Pots of Stalagspread and flasks of Black Enewgie sat side by side on desks, necessary to stimulate these confirmed players' creativity.

Only two Enutrofs, their arms full of documents covered in numbers, stood out in the playful, albeit studious, atmosphere.

A regular visitor, she didn't pay any attention to the snippets of talk that reached her hears:

"No time, I've got a meet…"

"… never be ready for Bonta Games Week!"

"I'll get back to you a Zaap…" (a Zaap??!!)

"Love your character!"

Mari finally saw the one she was looking for perched on a strange machine consisting of a plank between two small wheels with a metallic stick ending in two handles sticking up perpendicularly from it.

"Hi, Mari. What brings you? Let's go to my office."

Following behind the imposing ginger-haired Eca, the Foggernaut entered a small room, disturbing a herd of cockroaches and Arachnees that scampered in every direction. The Ecaflip burst out laughing at Mari's disgusted face.

"No matter what we do, there's no getting rid of those pests!" he exclaimed. "But I put my whole team on it, and it'll pay off in the end! Can I offer you a Spritaur?"

"No, thank you."

"So, what have you got for me this time? A dragokart racing game? Tabletop gobbowl? A Krosmoz battle royale? A kid searching for his origins? An Ecaflip who collects magical objects? A dungeon full of dragons? All that's old hat. Already done!"

"Better than that, my friend, better than that!" Mari said with a grin.

She spread the blueprints and sketches on his desk and put down the wobot mock-up.

"You and your little geniuses should be able to do something with this."

"Hmmmm… Hmmmm…"

Looking skeptical, the Eca studied the sketches.

"What is it? It looks like a machine that looks like Ogrest. But what's it for?"

Thinking deeply, the Eca looked up and his eyes stopped on the reproduction of the wobot. He looked back and forth from the sketches to the mock-up.

"Think big, my friend. Think big."

The Eca stared at Mari for a minute and pounded his fist on his desk.

"Of course, by all the Shushus! A structure that looks like Ogrest and is big enough to hold someone inside it! It'd need reins to guide it… We've got something here, Mari, we've got something. Nothing like it's ever been seen before in the World of Twelve!"

Ogrest

What we can say with certainty is that starting today, the Ogrest pack is available in the Ankama Shop! It contains the following:

- an Ogrest stuffed toy,

- an Ogrest tote bag, and

- six Krosmoz posters created by Mig (author of the Ogrest manga).

And a Collector's Edition Pack!

The collector's edition of the pack, issued in only 24 copies, also contains an autograph by Mig (size A6). Don't delay!

Our Lines of Work for WAKFU in 2019!

$

From its very creation, WAKFU's promise was clear: The world is what you make it! And because this universe belongs to you as much as it does to us, we asked you for your ideas and then your opinion for 2019.

Many players first submitted their ideas in the forum and we selected the most popular 11 suggestions and asked for your opinion on them with a poll.

Thank you all very much for your participation, which reflects the passion you have for our game! Thanks to you, we believe the consultation was representative and we can rely on your feedback: Exactly 11,053 players voted in the poll!

So, without further ado, here are the poll results, ranked in order of importance:

  • #1    A new island (zones, quests, dungeons, etc.)

  • #2    More customization during character creation

  • #3    Improved interfaces (ergonomics, features, etc.)

  • #4    PvP evolution

  • #5    Make ecology and ecosystems more of a priority

  • #6    Improved group search

  • #7    New type of wave-based combats (e.g. Mobile Arenas)

  • #8    Improved tactical mode

  • #9    Make politics more of a priority

  • #10    More customization of Haven Bags

  • #11    New feature to search for craftsmen

The graph below shows in detail the poll results for all suggestions ranked in the top 3.

Your opinion is crucial in helping us make the right decisions, even though it can't be a simple shopping list that we follow blindly. We need to be able to surprise you!

These poll results are among the many types of data we take into account when choosing update content. In order to make as many improvements as possible to the game in a given period of time, we also take into consideration the relationship between the resources needed to produce a feature and its potential. That's why we won't necessarily be able to implement all the proposals.

That said, we are very happy with these results because they are for the most part consistent with the directions we wanted to take in 2019 (and beyond!).

In order to meet your expectations as best we can, it's necessary to readjust an announcement we made in December about organizing a PvP tournament. We want to devote all our resources to satisfying as many of your desires as possible, and if we thoroughly study PvP evolutions in the game, probably in 2020, we won't be able to organize this tournament right away – it would simply take too much time. We are sorry if this decision is disappointing, but we feel it's the most reasonable one.

We are already working on two parallel updates: the spring update and an expansion that you'll be able to explore this summer.

We don't want to reveal too many details yet, but know that the next update will give you more customization options when creating your characters (to partially fulfill your number 2 request), and the next expansion will let you explore a region that the Brotherhood of the Tofu visited in the series WAKFU (your number 1 request)… It will also begin rolling out the beginnings of our new narrative arc – the Eliocalypse!

Thank you again for your participation and support – reading your passionate and constructive contributions is always a pleasure!

Conquering Mount Zinit (1/2)

Thanks to their travels through the nations, business had never been this good for the entrepreneurial fishermen Fifi & Sons. "Not enough to keep us in clover until we're pushing up daisies, but we're sitting pretty…" said Chairmane. The coldest part of winter was in theory over, and Chung and his father could therefore hit the road again, with a new idea in mind…

Flovor was coming to an end and yet huge cottony flakes filled the sky. A carriage pulled by four Dragoturkeys with bluish fur struggled into the wind. The driver and a smaller passenger were covered in snow. Wrapped up snugly from head to toe, their faces were covered by long scarves leaving only the tiniest slits for them to look through. Their hats were stuck firmly down on their heads, held in place by scarves tied under their chins. The driver snapped the reins to encourage the animals who were also being beaten by the driving snow. Luckily, the road ran alongside a forest, otherwise the travelers would have been wandering blindly in the cold.

Afternoon. The snow had stopped falling. The wagon wove across the immaculate hilly landscape. In the distance, a figure appeared like a dot in the middle of a blank sheet of paper. When the carriage pulled up alongside the figure, it stopped.

Chairmane took off his hat and said, "Whoa there, easy…" (to the animals) and "Need a lift, friend?" (to the stranger).

"Hello, travelers!" called out the stranger with his face hidden. "It'd be welcome, for sure! I've been walking for hours, and I don't rightly recognize anything with all this snow…"

"We'll be going north for two solid hours yet, headed for Astrub Port."

"Anywhere far from this wretched place!"

The stranger was wearing a waterproof coat that reached his calves and had snowshoes on his feet. He was especially dirty. He was pulling a litter piled high with three large bags behind him. He put the bags one by one in the wagon very gently, stowed his litter, and went to sit beside Chung in front. The father and son couldn't help but wince at the smell… His pestilent odor was enough to unplug their stuffed noses! Then, he took off his hat and scarf, and they discovered a man covered in green hair.

"Kimar Renwar, hunter-trapper, at your service!"

"Chairmane Fifi, 'fisher-merchant', and my son and associate, Chung."

The Sadida took off his glove to shake the carters' calloused hands, and then the wagon continued its route.

"Where did you shelter during the storm?" asked Chung, intrigued.

"I'd been tracking a brown Bearbarian for three days. The beast must have weighed some 700 or 800 kilopods, but I never was one to turn my nose up – if I had a nose, that is – at a tough challenge. I was on its trail when it started snowing again. So I followed its tracks in the snow… I knew there wasn't much time before the tracks would be completely covered… So I pulled three arrows from my quiver, readied my bow, and picked up the pace. I started to think I was going to lose its trail – or become its prey – in the blizzard! So I stopped. I closed my eyes. And I listened… It had to be there, real close. And that's when I had the scare of my life… After a few seconds, I heard fast, heavy footsteps coming rapidly closer. I barely had time to turn around when a shadow appeared in front of me, giving off a cry that would curdle your blood! I don't know what happened next… I yelled and shot my three arrows at once into the mass looming in front of me…"

Stoic but paying attention to Kimar's tale, Chairmane kept driving his wagon straight ahead. Chung seemed to be living out the tale vicariously:

"And then what?"

"It hung there for a few seconds, motionless. The wind whistled. I struggled to stay on my feet, sunk down on one knee. I was at its mercy… Luckily, my shot had hit home. The gigantic Bearbarian collapsed in front of me."

Chung was enthralled. Chairmane took a more pragmatic view.

"And so… where did you shelter during the storm?"

"Well, that weren't no pleasure cruise… Far from it! I sliced open the beast's belly, thrust my hands into its still-hot, sticky innards, pulled out as much as I could, and then climbed into the carcass…"

"Eew!" exclaimed Chung, disgusted.

"I admit… 'twas disgusting, but… I was snug as a bug in a rug. So snug I eventually fell asleep! I don't know how long I slept… But when I woke up, it wasn't snowing any more so I cut the beast up for its meat and its hide. Then I saw you in the distance… What about you? What brings you out this way?"

"We're freshwater fishermen, we are, my son and I. We were content for a long time – well, really, I was content – you see, Chung is, well, bubblier than his father. Always with ideas rolling around his head! At first, he wanted to see a bit of the world and visit a friend in Sufokia. So, he convinced me there was business to be done, what with our fishing and his wanderlust together. The next time, we went back to Sufokia with our best catch yet. We sold some of it and traded the rest for goods from the Asse Sea. On the trip out, we were loaded down with freshwater Snappers that we could sell for a pretty penny in the city, and on the way back, with crustaceans, seafood, and huge fish that we then sold back home for an even prettier penny… And best of all, we had zero competition!"

"We started delivering to every nation," continued Chung. "I got to see the new wonders of Bonta, Brakmar, Sufokia and Amakna, built on the ruins of Ogrest's tantrums, with my own eyes."

A ray of sun shone through the clouds.

"And what did you think?" asked Kimar, intrigued in turn.

"Magnificent! The inhabitants re-used stones that fell from the sky, from Mount Zinit, to build new ramparts and shore up the cities. And that's what gave me the idea…"

"This young fella' here has seen the great nations in the World of Twelve," Chairmane continued, "all but one, the only, the insurmountable…"

"… Mount Zinit!" interjected Kimar.

"Same as all the nations, we needed the business to be right, something that would at least pay for the trip," added Chung.

"The beach?" the Sadida guessed.

"Yes, exactly. That was our first thought. Zinit Cwabs are in high demand at the best restaurants in Bonta!" said Chairmane.

"Let's just say that the beach is our plan B… a guarantee in case plan A fails," said the young Osamodas with a mysterious look on his face.

The hunter fidgeted on his seat.

"By Sadida's beard! What's your plan?"

"He's not planning to just stay at the base of the mountain…" revealed Chairmane.

"We're going to take advantage of the exceptional opening of Mount Zinit to all adventurers passing by to climb it, searching for rare and unique species in the freshwater springs created by Ogrest's tears!" exclaimed the young Osamodas.

"Fantastic!"

"Proof once again that Ogrest's Chaos has its good side…"

As the wagon continued its slow plod north across the snow-covered countryside, the bags Kimar Renwar had loaded into the back began to fidget…

To be continued…

Conquering Mount Zinit (2/2)

An Osamodas father, Chairmane and his son, Chung, were selling their freshwater Snappers throughout the nations. Grasping the opportunity that the exceptional opening of Mount Zinit from Flovor 28 through Martalo 3 afforded them, they headed for the summit looking for rare finds. Along the road, they ran into a mysterious Sadida trapper, Kimar Renwar…

Voyages sometimes have the same virtues as the best Pandala liqueurs – intoxicating, they too tend to bring those who share them closer together. Thus, after a few hours together on a wagon traveling over snowy lands and spinning tales about their greatest adventures, the Osamodas Fifis and the Sadida Renwar had become friends. Once on the Astrub docks, the trapper decided to follow the fishermen up Mount Zinit to try to find a few rare, fantastical beasts for himself. As they were boarding a two-mast sailboat and stowing their belongings in the hull compartments, Chairmane turned to the trapper.

"Aren't you going to sell your last catch while we're here in Astrub, friend? It would be that much less to stow in the hold…"

"I… yes, well… I'll sell some of the meat but… I'll sell the skin when we get back… with the extraordinary game I'll bring back from Zinit! I'd hate to rush and sell it for less than it's worth…"

Young Chung couldn't help but notice Kimar's hesitation and discomfort, but he said nothing and continued stowing their goods on board.

The crew lifted anchor as the first rays of sun emerged. Sitting on the forward deck, our three companions let themselves be carried by the gentle waves and invigorating breeze. They gazed at the rocky peak on the horizon and the luminous circle rising slowly to its tip. Behind them, at the helm, the Enutrof helmsman stood above them. Rhuddyr Starbhor was guiding the ship with calm confidence. With a military cap pushed firmly down on his head, dark sunglasses covering his eyes, either he was staring at his goal doggedly or… sleeping deeply! Chung had been watching him for some time and couldn't have guessed which it was… Soushi Chen, an Ecaflip sailor and fisherman, had moved to the poop to prepare the nets. He'd rolled his pants up above his knees and tied a red bandana around his forehead. Captain Dai Kiri emerged from his cabin just then and walked over to his passengers. Ramrod straight, arms folded behind him, the Xelor was the very image of exemplary rigor. His greatcoat and sailor's hat gave him a quite the air – he looked more like the captain of a warship than the captain of a modest fishing boat.

"Such an enticing vision, is it not?" he said without the slightest hint of emotion. "I hope you'll find rarities on that rock."

"Don't worry. If we come back empty-handed…"

"Or don't come back at all."

"… Um… Yes, well…" continued Chairmane, "either way, you'll get to keep the deposit."

"That goes without saying. I was just making conversion." (He looked at the sky and then the taut mainsail.) "We'll be there tomorrow morning, around 8 o'clock."

*****

They spent most of their time dropping nets and fish traps as they slowly neared the coast. As night fell, the sea air and day's activities got to the crew. They said goodnight before the last rays of the sun were gone. Only Rhuddyr Starbhor remained at his station. Before heading to his bunk, Chung stared at him intently, but the Enutrof didn't flinch.

"Aaaaaaaah!!!"

A shout. From the hold. Chung joined his father and the captain in the hold where the provisions were stored. Soushi Chen had just discovered sheer havoc. Kimar arrived in turn.

"What's going on?" asked the trapper.

"Our rations! Devoured! All of them. There's nothing left but empty crates and torn packaging! WHO DID IT?"

"Calm down, Chen," ordered Captain Dai Kiri.

"Calm down?! I worked all day! I'm hungry!!!"

"We'll find out who did this. And you will eat." (The captain looked carefully around the room, moved toward the wreckage, and pulled out an apple that had been spared. He handed it to the sailor.) "Tomorrow, we'll lift the nearest traps for breakfast. Until then, get some shuteye, you did a hard day's work."

The Ecaflip's gloomy face softened a little. He stared at Chung, Chairmane and Kimar, then ripped of the stem of the apple with his teeth and spit it onto the floor. He big loudly down on the piece of fruit and left the room. The Osamodas father spoke up.

"Captain, we were with you all da…"

"I know."

The Xelor lifted a bag of flour to reveal footprints in the white powder. Tiny footprints.

"You know what they say about small feet?"

Chung stifled a laugh.

Captain Dai Kiri inspected his guests' belongings. The Osamodas were transporting only fishing equipment and clothing; their provisions had been devoured along with the rest. The Sadida had a Bearbarian skin cut into three pieces, and eight squares of fabric with strange symbols embroidered on them.

"Where'd your dried meat go?"

"I sold some of it in port, and the rest suffered the same fate as everyone else's provisions."

Dai Kiri let his guests go to bed. He'd get to the bottom of things tomorrow.

"Aaaaaaaah!!!"

A shout. On the bridge.

"Not again," complained Kimar, "this is becoming a habit."

The three travelers hurriedly left their bunks. The scene they discovered left them stunned… Scattered everywhere were fish, shellfish and squid. Fish traps and a net had been pulled up and were littered around the deck. The captain, who until then had been cold and distant… was rolling on the floor laughing.

"Hahahahahahahahahaha!!!"

Behind the helm, the helmsman was a sorry sight: lipstick on his face, naked as the day he was born under a Bearbarian skin, eyes drawn on his glasses, and a squid in guise of a hat. No doubt about it. He was sound asleep! At the back of the boat, in the net hanging above the sea, Soushi Chen was struggling: tied up, his red bandana serving as a gag, he was covered with mollusks and affectionate starfish! Quiet, demonic giggles seemed to be coming from the prow… The group went over and saw… very excited Sadida dolls! Some were gnawing on the wale of the ship, others were gorging themselves on fish, one of them was chewing on Rhuddyr Starbhor's pants… They seemed possessed!

"My babies!" exclaimed Kimar worriedly.

The captain got over his laughing fit and recognized the strange symbols he'd seen yesterday on the trapper's "rags" on the creatures. The Sadida went to his dolls, pulled eight white shigekax out of his pocket, and held them out. The dolls rushed to their master's outstretched hand to devour the candies. A few seconds later, they fell asleep and turned back into squares of cloth.

"The candies calm them down temporarily."

The trapper turned to the crew with a sad look on his face.

"Please accept my apologies for the trouble…"

"And the damage," added Captain Dai Kiri.

"And the damage, of course." (He turned to Chairmane and Chung.) "I'm sorry I didn't tell you, but I had to keep them hidden. They've come down with a rare and strange illness and have been ravaging everything in their path ever since. You would never have taken me with you if I'd told you… if you'd seen them… and I didn't know you yet… I was already on my way to Mount Zinit when you found me. An Eniripsa mage advised me to get some Dathura urtica – also known as tear nettle – a very rare plant that is said to have sprouted from Ogrest's tears. Its main virtue is balancing the emotions of anyone who eats it."

"And the Bearbarian?" asked Chung.

"They're the ones who attacked it. They were… very hungry. They're insatiable! Everything else is true. I swear! Can you ever forgive me?"

The father and son exchanged a kindly smile and nodded their heads as a sign of approval. Kimar couldn't help but hug them.

Hear ye, hear ye, freshwater sailors, children and gentlemen! The "Gruber", fishing boat and cruise ship, is entering Mount Zinit harbor! Its crew would like to thank you for sailing with us and hopes you've had a pleasant journey. Yipee-ki-yay, my floating friends!"

The three traveling companions couldn't believe it, but it was Rhuddyr Starbhor who, still wearing the squid on his head and his painted glasses, had proclaimed that they'd reached their destination while Captain Dai Kiri was helping a furious Soushi Chen out of his net. Chung, Chairmane and Kimar would finally be able to set foot on Zinit.

In Astrub from March 8 to 18, if you run into Gobballs looking a bit green around the edges with a strange look in their eyes, don't worry – you're not seeing things. Grab another tankard of fermented bamboo milk and enjoy Saint Potrick! This year's annual celebration comes with some new content: a reward and an achievement!

When Pandawas drink, Gobballs's hearts sink! You can see proof of this once again when Pandawas offer their annual homage to their goddess…

Don't be green with envy! Of course you're all invited to Astrub from Friday March 8 (at 10 a.m. Paris time) through Monday, March 18 (at 10 a.m.). You'll be able to throw back a few tankards and… throw around Potrick Gobballs, easily recognizable by their magnificent Bwork-colored fleece! And there are rewards to be won, of course!

You can win them directly from monsters as well as via crafting (so you can raise a toast to the return of Astrub Root Beer) and achievements. This year, there are five achievements – one more than last year!

In all, there are 12 rewards in the game, including various consumables, the Saint Potrick Costume, the Saint Potrick Bucket to decorate your haven bag, and the new Leprecoor Helmet!

If you're looking to go a few rounds, now's the time!

Contest

In order to celebrate properly, we've decided to give you a chance to win the new Saint Potrick haven bag! To enter, all you need to do is post a screenshot of your character with the clover aura in the comments.
A little hint? All self-respecting Pandawas praise the virtues of this root beer…

A random drawing will be held on March 19 to determine the contest winner!

Good luck, everyone!

The Beta server has been updated on Thursday, March 07. Check out the new features and changes, and share with us your feedback!

Evolution of (Dungeon) Stasis Levels

In update 1.63, we decided to improve how the dungeon Stasis levels operate to encourage players to use this difficulty management feature and give players more possibilities.

  • The maximum Stasis level in normal mode has been increased from 20 to 50. The bonuses provided by dungeons' Stasis level are different in normal mode and competitive mode. At Stasis level 50:
    • Normal: 200% XP and Loot
    • Competitive: 600% XP and Loot
  • The Stasis level criteria to unlock Epic and Relic equipment in dungeons have been changed:
    • Common (white) 1
    • Rare (green) 1
    • Mythical (orange) 1
    • Legendary (yellow) 21
    • Epic (pink): 1 → 21
    • Relic (purple): 11 → 21
  • You can now choose any Stasis level in the dungeon difficulty selection interface without having to have also completed the dungeon at a high enough Stasis level.
  • The rarity of items unlocked is now displayed in the dungeon difficulty selection interface.
  • The reward interface for competitive dungeons has been improved: New explanatory tooltips have been added and the list of rewards is now displayed by default.

Cosmetic Character Customization

  • 10 new hairdos (5 per gender) have been added to all classes.
  • The color pallet available to characters has been expanded to provide a wider choice of colors.
  • When update 1.63 is released, every character will be able to change their appearance once (the first time the character is played after the release) by modifying the following attributes: colors, hairstyle and gender.

Classes

Enutrof

  • The Debt spell no longer lets you target invisible enemies.

    • Reduction of Reincarnated Chafers' HP.
    • The Chaferization spell causes variable damage based on the distance between the boss and the boss's targets.
    • When characters are revived by the Necromancy spell, they get bonuses for the rest of the fight.
  • Magik Riktus Big Top Dungeon: removal of the pole from the fight bubble.

  • Badgeroxxor: Drop in the Initiative characteristic.
  • Minibulia the Poached Dragon: Increase in range for the Claw Attack spell.
  • Ogrest:
    • Starting at 3,000,000 in damage received, Ogrest increases his damage for the rest of the fight.
    • Addition of new thresholds to get items from Ogrest:
      • Starting at 3,500,000, legendary versions of items can be obtained.
      • Starting at 4,000,000, three new exclusive items can be obtained.
      • The different thresholds are now linked to specific invisible quests: Unlocking the first item obtention thresholds in a first weekly fight does not prevent attempts to obtain items in higher thresholds in a following fight.

Professions

  • Jeweler: Reduction in the number of rare fish requested in Jeweler recipes involving rings. The quantities have been reduced by 30%.
  • Weapons Master: The quantities of Astrub weapons needed in certain level-100 legendary weapons have been reduced.

Achievements

  • New achievements requiring you to kill each Ultimate Boss at Stasis levels 21, 31 and 41 have been added. Validation of these achievements will not be retroactive.
  • A new achievement to collect a class emblem token has been added. This token can be traded for a (level-60) class emblem in the basement of Astrub Inn. The achievement requires you to complete the "Scoreboard" quest.
  • The way the Boss Smasher event works has been changed: There are now 12 achievements per year (1 per month). Completing an achievement earns you a token. These tokens can be spent at the Boss Smasher machine to obtain the rewards from the previous Boss Smashers. The list of bosses and their dates will be known in advance.

Interfaces

  • It is now possible to interact with the "battle swords" when their tooltip hides them.
  • The most recent sales are now displayed first in the haven bag sale summary.
  • Build icons (default shortcut O) can now be put in the shortcut bars via drag & drop.
  • The shortcuts to equipment are now usable again.

  • The "Recover All" button now only moves a number of rewards that is compatible with the available space in the inventory.
  • In the Zaap interface, focus is now on the search bar when opening the interface, letting you search for your destination more quickly. When there's only one search result left, tapping the "Enter" key lets you move directly to that destination. In addition, the search is no longer accent-sensitive.
  • Batteries and the "Shift" key are taken into account correctly in the Rune Crusher interface.
  • The zone banners that appear when entering certain zones (e.g. Astrub) no longer prevent clicking.
  • The interface displaying a pet's data can be closed properly after having interacted with another pet of the same type, and the interface of the second pet opens properly.
  • Items that disappeared in updates are now correctly removed from Marketplaces. They will still appear in the sale history under the name "obsolete item".
  • A case where the "Enter" and "Buy" buttons were visible simultaneously when opening the Haven World interface has been fixed.
  • The interactive element menus are now displayed over the tooltips. In addition, the hover tooltip for Zaaps displays properly over the clickable zone.
  • The menu button functions properly on the server and character selection screens if the game is launched from the Ankama Launcher.

Quests

  • Environmental Quests
    • The level group required to obtain rewards is now displayed in the quest tracking interface.
    • Characters outside the level group do not receive rewards and cannot validate the associated quests and achievements.
    • The interface displayed on expiry, victory or defeat only takes into account the results of the main character (in cases where one of the Heroes did not have the required level or minimum score, the interface displayed a defeat whereas the main character had correctly validated the quest).
    • The quests and achievements that require one to complete environmental quests are validated correctly for the main character and their Heroes. In addition, certain environmental quests are no longer considered completed when they end naturally when the character has not attained the minimum objectives to earn the reward.
