Mount Zinit

Ah, Zinit… That mysterious mountain, hidden behind a mist that holds so many secrets… It's from the top of this rocky mass that Ogrest the terrible looks out over the World of Twelve and spreads his chaos. But what do you really know about this tragic part of the history of the Krosmoz?

Mount Zinit's name is known to all, but what about its origins?

A long time ago on a planet far, far away, lived some particular beings who mastered impressive technology. They were called Eliatropes.

Their planet was full of Wakfu, the creative energy that they knew how to use to perfection. They lived there peacefully with their dragons, those magnificent, majestic creatures who were their twins. Attracted by the high concentration of Wakfu emanating from this small community, the Mechasms, robotic beings from somewhere else, decided to come and settle in as well.

For years, the two peoples lived in the most perfect peace and harmony. Until the tragic day when, hungry for power, an Eliatrope stole the heart of Orgonax, the youngest of the Mechasms, and used it to create a strange machine: the Eliacube.

Full of rage, the Mechasms attacked the Eliatrope people, who had no other choice than to flee their own planet. They set off to look for a new hospitable planet, on their gigantic vessel: the Zinit.

Over the course of their long travels through the Krosmoz, the Eliatropes ended up finding a new, dazzling refuge, full of Wakfu. And you know this planet well! Because, quite simply, it's the current "World of Twelve". Here, the Eliatropes founded the "Vili" colony, they hid the Zinit at the heart of a mountain, and started a new life.

Be that as it may, a traitor remained among them, and was intent on finishing what he'd started… He couldn't hold it back! Qilby, as he was known, decided to reactivate the Eliacube. Despite all the precautions taken, the energy wave that followed did not go unnoticed by the Mechasms, who disembarked on the planet and provoked a merciless war. The two peoples disappeared, leaving behind them a ravaged planet, void of Wakfu.

For almost 11,000 years, the Zinit remained hidden under the mountain, forgotten by all… until now.

Now it's your turn, young adventurers, to discover the secrets that Mount Zinit holds!

Have you already wandered through the first part of Mount Zinit and arrived at the mysterious ship embedded in the mountain’s lower slope? Do you spend your evenings pondering what’s behind the silo? There’s a whole new adventure awaiting you in part two of Mount Zinit! On the program:

 
  • 3 new zones to explore.
  • 1 quest to discover.
  • 3 new monster families to fight.
  • 3 dungeons to get through.
  • New objects to retrieve and to make.
 

The new content is for players of level 150 to 200!

"Mount Zinit -  Part 2 Devblog"

 

The maximum levels for professions unlocked

 

Increase your professional skills beyond level 100 thanks to modifications in this new update. The highest resources are now at level 125 and the highest recipes at level 130. It’s still possible to gain experience points over level 130.

The experience required at each professional level has been reduced. Players keep all their experience from before the update, which allows you to gain a few professional levels.

 

Transition to Zinit: Xelorium and Moon Island

 

The "Astrub Model” applies in the Xelorium and Moon Island zones. To summarize, this means that in these zones:

 
  • Environmental Quests (EQ) are divided into 4 categories: solo, dash, competitive and collaborative. Collaborative quests let you trigger hordes and invasions. An archmonster has just appeared in the zone too. EQ allow you to obtain the Souper-Glou, a crucial resource for all the equipment recipes!
  • The dungeons are more dynamic. The level of monsters varies, which influences their characteristics and Initiative.
  • Obtaining items based on their rarity has been modified.
  • Equipment can be improved through the professions.

Character creation interface

 

The character creation interface has been slightly modified to add more information for new players. Stars indicate the level of difficulty to master a character class and pictograms with descriptions tell players about the class’s roles (damage, support, tank, etc.).

These changes are mainly for new players arriving in The World of Twelve for the first time.


The Mount Zinit Part 2 update will be available on Thursday, May 4th! 

Note that Mount Zinit Part 1 and 2 will only be accessible for players with an active Booster Pack.

Reset of the Haven World Ecosystem

You have reported to us that several resources disappeared from your Haven Worlds after the 4th of May update. We would like to clarify the issue with you through this article.

Since the last update, several resources disappeared from Haven Worlds. Indeed, the fishing lakes you can build in your Haven Worlds are empty and it is not possible to mine anymore as the mineral quarries are gone.

In order to correct the issue, we would have to apply a complete reset of the ecosystem in all Haven Worlds.

This operation will delete all the plantations present in your Haven World, the fishes, the ores and also the trees, the plants, the crops and the monsters that were “planted” in your Haven Worlds.

This reset will happen during a hotfix that will be applied on Tuesday, the 23rd of May.

We highly suggest that you remove your plantations as well as extract the monsters’ seeds that are in your Haven World before the 23rd of May.

This patch will correct several bugs in game and will allow us to add some small functionalities. We will come back to you with more details about those changes once prepared.

After the real success of our contest “Get your Fan Art Rockin” we’re doing it again with a new writing contest. Support your favorite Gobbowl team by dedicating them an anthem! With many prizes to be won, you have until May 22nd at 9:59 PM UTC!

In this new contest, you will need to write an anthem to support your favourite Gobbowl team. And it comes at the right time since the Super Gobbowl is starting today, supported by the Meryde of the Team Spirit, Nell!

Whether you’re living in Amakna, Bonta, Brakmar, Sufokia or part of the Riktus clan, everyone can participate! To do so, you only need to follow the following rules:

  • Stick to the theme: sounds simple enough, but let’s err on the side of caution... Simply write an anthem for your favourite Gobbowl team (Bonta, Brakmar, Sufokia, Amakna or Riktus)
  • Publish your entry in the dedicated entry thread before Monday, May 22nd, 9:59 PM UTC.
  • Edited messages will no be taken into account. To delete your message and post another one, change the first message by including the comment “Deleted” and post your new message.
  • You can only post one anthem entry.
  • Your work must respect our Terms of Use and Forum Rules of Conduct.

Get ready for a new hard-hitting event! The third Boss Smasher is here, complete the Stasis version of the Zeppelantern from May 25 to 28 and get a new exclusive title! 

Boss Smasher is the monthly meet-up for anyone who wants to outdo themselves! Once a month, we're giving you the chance to stand out from the crowd in a dungeon adventure unlike anything you've seen. It goes without saying that you won't just be resting on your laurels!

On the program for this round: the Zeppelantern, using the Adjustable Level Sytem (competitive mode) with a minimum of Stasis level 20. 

Are you hungry for success and eager to push past limits? Then prove it with this third Boss Smasher, in which you might be able to win a new exclusive title "Everybody dance, do-do-do".


There will a brand new Boss Smasher for you to beat each month. At the end of the year, you'll get a reward that will depend on the number of bosses you've defeated. Amongst the prizes on offer there will be an exclusive costume and even a pet!

So, get ready and complete this mission from May 25 00:01 (server time) to May 28 at 23:59 (server time) for the third in a long series of Boss Smashers!




A few reminders
  • Every player who participated will receive a reward at the end of the grand event depending on the number of Boss Smashers that they have completed:

Shop: The Nations in Gobbowl Costumes!

It doesn't matter if you're a Gobbowler down on the field or just an armchair supporter – everyone wants to wear their favorite team's jersey! Look no further than the Shop, where all the Gobbowl costumes are now available in the colors of the Nations of the World of Twelve!
From now through the first week of July, one of the five Gobbowl costumes will be highlighted every week. Then they'll all come together at the end in a Mystery Box!

But what order should we present these costumes in? That's the question that you, our players, took the time to answer on social media! Here, therefore, in order of appearance, are the Gobbowler costumes you'll find in the Shop for 2,500 OG each.  
 
  • From May 31st (7:30 AM UTC) until June 7th (7:30 AM UTC): Sufokia costume
  • From June 7th (7:30 AM UTC) until June 14th (7:30 AM UTC): Bonta costume

A new zone between ice and fire, two new monster families (each as terrifying as the other), chapter 3 of the Zinit quest, the professions revamp… All of this is waiting for you in Update 1.54, available now in Beta!
In this Beta, you'll be able to get an idea about what to expect in the upcoming Update 1.54! Come and discover it with us!

Fans of exploration will be able to venture into a new zone between fire and ice; will you be able to survive an environment as hostile as this? You may just encounter new monsters that are ferocious and strong enough to live in these climatic conditions. Make sure you're ready before venturing there, unless you want to end up as their dinner!

Lovers of History with a capital "H" will be able to enjoy a whole new chapter that is being added to the Mount Zinit quest. Discover a kingdom – one that you already know quite well – in a whole new light! Bring your hankies: this new chapter may be highly emotional.

Lastly, the handiest among you will be able to discover the ongoing recipe revamp, in order to move on to the new Astrub model!
